Well, the flipside is true, too. Because we also needed to see business raring to go as soon as it was let off the hook – and to see consumers ready to spend again after months in hibernation. And – just maybe – that’s what the market’s rise has anticipated, and this strong jobs number confirms.I want to ride my cyclical So what should investors do if the coronavirus crisis is coming to an end? Only in the past couple of weeks has it broadened out to lift the prices of more cyclical companies – banks, industrial firms, commodity producers, and the like. And it’s a measure of how crazy 2020 has been that the most recent number being ten million out versus expectations feels like just another shock for us to process. Fortunately, I don’t believe easy money is the only reason shares have risen. Coronavirus crisis cancelled? However, the US economy actually gained 2.5 million jobs in May. Also, the Covid-19 crisis has been all about looking to see how other countries are faring for clues as to what might happen at home. Given the chaos of 2020, you’d be brave not to expect another plot twist! Until recently, the stock market rally was mainly centered on growth and technology shares that seemed set to prosper whatever happened with the virus. But the market doesn’t always go up on what seems like obviously good news. Click here to claim your copy now — and we’ll tell you the name of this Top US Share… free of charge! Economists estimated eight million US jobs were lost in May. That would have followed the 20 million jobs gone in April as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, which had already pushed the US unemployment rate to 14.7%. Our 6 ‘Best Buys Now’ Shares Far from firing people, businesses turned on a dime and hired them!Dawn in the USAWhy does this matter in Britain?5G is here – and shares of this ‘sleeping giant’ could be a great way for you to potentially profit!According to one leading industry firm, the 5G boom could create a global industry worth US$12.3 TRILLION out of thin air…And if you click here we’ll show you something that could be key to unlocking 5G’s full potential…Several reasons. That would be bad for equities if, as some argue, the gains we’ve seen since the lows are predicated on both central banks and politicians pumping out money like it truly does grow on trees. So yes, the US jobs number suggests we’re into a new act of the economic impact of Covid-19 saga. But this story surely has some way to run. Will we see a second-wave of the virus? I suspect the savvy market sniffed out an improving picture long before most of us mere mortals could see it coming – blindsided as we were by the horrible death tolls, the job losses, the empty streets and the shuttered shops. However, many shares still look pretty depressed compared to January. If the American economy is already shaking off the virus then perhaps it can pull us, Europe, China and everywhere else out of our torpor with it. Or will the economy only recover to 90% of capacity, say, due to social distancing curbing the viability of the hospitality, retail, and entertainment sectors? Many of the UK’s largest companies are truly multinational. Owain Bennallack | Saturday, 27th June, 2020 Enter Your Email Address Necessary but not sufficient… A 90% economy could see many companies struggle, landlords crumble as rents are unpaid, and banks – and bank shareholders – getting left to pick up the bill. If the US economy is turning faster than expected, it might put the brakes on further monetary and fiscal support from the Federal Reserve and Washington. On the first Friday of every month, economists, investors and the business media bate their breath to hear how many jobs the US economy added or destroyed in the previous month. “This Stock Could Be Like Buying Amazon in 1997” This could bode well for the British market. The FTSE 100 has a woeful exposure to technology sector, but it’s over-weighted with companies that will benefit from a sustained uplift in the global economy. From banks and the oil majors to miners and the beverage behemoths, the UK market offers lots of ways to prosper if the world leaves lockdown en masse.Assume your recovery positionThere’s that word ‘if’ again! For sure, central bank action averted a breakdown in the financial system back in mid-March – and shares responded positively to that risk going off the table. And titanic spending by national governments to support their frozen economies was necessary if we were to have any hope of seeing even the least vertiginous V-shaped recovery. As I said, markets have already made quite a strong comeback. A judicial review is being held at the High Court on Thursday to look into the decision by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) to award sole tenancy to the Hammers, who will move into the site in 2016. A decision is not expected for a couple of weeks and Hearn believes his club has a good chance of winning. Leyton Orient chairman Barry Hearn insists he is not looking for financial compensation from the judicial review into the decision to award the Olympic Stadium to West Ham – merely the chance to ground-share. Press Association Hearn told Press Association Sport: “I am looking for a ground-share, I don’t want compensation. Compensation gets spent – I am looking for the future and a ground-share at the Olympic Stadium which makes sense from the taxpayers’ point of view. “They have spent £600million of taxpayers’ money on the stadium and they must have full use for that money and I think with Leyton Orient can make a meaningful contribution to the financial burden of that stadium. “We hope the outcome of the judicial review will mean Leyton Orient having the opportunity, which they should have had before, to meaningfully discuss a ground-share arrangement with West Ham.” Hearn claims the LLDC did not follow bidding rules properly when it accorded the stadium to West Ham. He added: “The review can say that they believe the bidding process was not carried out in accordance with the rules and this stopped us having the discussion on ground-sharing we wanted to have. “We are asking for that process to be re-opened and full disclosure of all the dealings between West Ham and LLDC. “I think it’s 50-50, my lawyers are hopeful we are going to win. “The reason we want full disclosure is we think LLDC have come to an arrangement with West Ham which is not in line with the bidding process rules.”

ALEX SOLIS, KERI BELLE, THIRD: “I had a perfect trip . . . She ran hard, she just didn’t get there.” NOTES: The winning owners are Kenji Morinata of Arcadia or Head of Plains Partners. DAVID MEAH, ASSISTANT TO RICHARD BALTAS, PAULINA’S LOVE, WINNER: “She’s special at this distance and even better when she gets a little time between races like we did here. Seven, eight weeks is a huge thing for her. Four or five weeks, she doesn’t fire like this, but seven, eight weeks and she can fire.“She had a perfect trip. I didn’t expect Flavien (Prat on Moanin) to go out like that (on the lead), but it’s OK. We came home in front and that’s all that matters at the end of the day.” GARY STEVENS, PAULINA’S LOVE, WINNER: “I’ve fallen in love with her. These guys have been so patient with her and have allowed Richard to do what he wants with her. She just keeps developing and getting better and better. She exploded at the eighth pole just like the last time and when I saw 12-1 on the morning line with an 88 Beyer number last time . . . that wasn’t right; she exploded that day.“I rode her with a lot of confidence, like she was the favorite. She minds, she lets me do what I want, whatever the pace scenario is. When she’s done, I’d like to take her home and put her in my backyard.” JOCKEY QUOTES KENT DESORMEAUX, STORMY LUCY, SECOND: “There wasn’t a straw in her path. She gave me a dream ride. She absolutely flew to the wire. The winner was a nose better today, that’s all. They were too good today.” TRAINER QUOTES
JOCKEY QUOTES RAFAEL BEJARANO, VALE DORI, WINNER: “She was definitely ready today. I knew Finest City would be tough but I was only thinking about the break. (Vale Dori) was more focused today, more consistent. She broke beautifully from the gate.“When I saw that Finest City didn’t want to go to the lead, I just took control of the race and took it from there.“She was really focused today and she showed me a big kick in the stretch. She was tough.“Today was the first time I think that she was pressured almost the whole race. She showed me a lot of power, a lot of heart. I don’t think she minds coming from behind but having a clean break, I just took it from there.“I thought that from the first jump Finest City would be fast and would be on the lead. When I saw that she didn’t really want to go and didn’t relax into the first turn, I just took control and took advantage of (Vale Dori’s) speed. I just tried to relax my horse.“These are two nice horses but since I had the lead, I had the advantage.“The last time I worked her, about a week ago, she worked really good, galloped out well. I knew she would be really good today but the only thing was the break. Last time she had a bad experience so we just wanted her to relax and I didn’t play with her too much in the gate.” TRAINERIAN KRULJAC, FINEST CITY, SECOND: “My filly ran her eyeballs out. Running second in a Grade I isn’t all bad. I’m happy with how she ran.” –30– NOTES: The winning owner is Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Maktoum. TYLER BAZE, FINEST CITY, SECOND: “She ran great. This is probably just a little too far for her but she ran really well. I give the winner credit, she’d never been headed before and we were head and head the whole way.”
