The Los Angeles Angels pitcher held opponents to two or fewer hits while pitching six innings in back-to-back home starts. The 2008 Greensburg High School graduate and Indiana Mr. Baseball had a rough start in the second game but quickly settled in and led his team to a 3-2 win over the Dodgers Wednesday.  “I came in after the first couple innings, I was pretty mad at myself because it’s kind of the same thing,” Meyer said. “Every time I get in trouble, a lot of it’s because of me, with walks specifically.”Meyer was drafted 23rd in the 2011 MLB draft by the Washington Nationals and was traded to the Minnesota Twins following the 2012 season. Late last year the Twins shipped Meyer to the Angels for two pitchers and cash considerations.last_img
