ESPN first reported the news of the move for 2017The game has been played on Thanksgiving Day 21 times total. The 2013 Thanksgiving Day game was also the last win for the Bulldogs in the series. A young Dak Prescott led Mississippi State to a 17-10 overtime win that year, with 144 total yards and a rushing touchdown in the game.
