first_imgMET ÉIREANN HAS issued a second orange alert in two days, as thunderstorms and hail get set to hit the country.Yesterday saw high winds and rain sweep across the country, with gales of up to 100km per hour reported.The weather service has reissued the orange alert status, telling people to be prepared for thundery downpours.It will be windy throughout the day, with some high winds expected. Thundery downpours will increase the risk of spot flooding. Bright and sunny spells will develop, however.Tonight will be cold and windy, with showers.
